Auto is one of the five key industris of Jiangsu Province Yancheng Economic Development Zone is dedicated to the development of multi-automobile industry in three categories. They are automobiles, town buses and special vehicles.
Automobiles:Automobiles are produced by Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia motors Co., Ltd, a holding enterprise of Hyundai Kia of Korea. The current capacity is 150,000 sets/year and its second plant with a capacity of 300,000 sets/year will start production in October, 2007. The first plant has successfully pushed to the market such automobiles as Accent, Cerato, Optima and Carnival. The second plant will push to the market more models. More than 40 parts makers including Doowon air conditioners, Mobis Engines, Kyungshin Electronics, Hanil Plastics and Hysco Steel Sheets. They are all direct suppliers of DYK.
